Our Rules
We ask that all guests follow the rules listed here, in our guest book, and posted on signs around the property.
General Rules

Children and pets are to be supervised at all times.

Please follow the clean-up checklist before leaving - failure to do so may result in a $50 cleaning fee.

Read the pool and fire pit guides before using those areas of the property.

Please leave any single-use amenities you don’t use - we want to be able to provide these products to future guests.

Please keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm - we have other occupants on the property and want to be respectful to all parties.

Dogs are welcome! Please notify us before your stay and read our pet policy.

No smoking is allowed indoors.

Do not enter any outbuildings or animal enclosures, and avoid getting near the electric fences or interacting with the animals.
Pool Area
Safety
-
Guests under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times while in the pool area.

Don’t enter the pool while intoxicated.

No running, diving, or rough play

No Glass in the Pool Area

Follow all posted safety guidelines

No pets in the pool
Information
-
Rinse off before jumping in.

Pool toys are in the pool shed near the deep end of the pool.

Pool toys are not lifesaving devices!

If a pool toy breaks, send us a text to let us know

Do not touch the pool pumps, filters, and other controls. It can break the pool mechanics.
Bonfire Area

Please read the Michigan DNR fire safety page (click the button below).

Extinguish the fire fully before leaving the property or going to bed.

Children and pets must be supervised at all times.
-
Only burn provided tinder and firewood - burning anything else can cause harmful chemicals or oils to be released into the air.

Keep away from open flames and use caution when handling anything that has been in or near the fire.
-
The firepit can still be hot even after the flames are extinguished - use caution.
Checkout Procedure
Pool Area
Remove all pool toys from the pool. Deflate any inflatable toys and store them neatly in the pool house.
Fire Pit
Ensure the fire pit is COMPLETELY extinguished. Double-check to make sure there are no remaining embers.
Tidy Up
Tidy up the apartment and any other areas you spent time in. Please wash, dry, and put away any dishes you use.
Trash and Recycling
Place all garbage in a white trash bag in the kitchen. Set any recyclables on the kitchen counter.
Linens
Gather all used bedding, pillowcases, towels, and blankets and place them in the kitchen.
Food and Beverages
Remove anything you brought from the fridge and freezer and wipe up any spills.
Power and Water
Turn off all lights, the TV, and the mini-split. Ensure that all taps are turned off to avoid wasting water.
Lock Up
Close and lock all the windows and place the keys to the sliding glass door on the dining room table.
Notify Us
Send a text to (269) 953-8040 once you have vacated the suite. This will allow us to clean the room before the next guests without disturbing you.
